Syscap, the UK’s leading independent IT finance provider, has been named Company of the Year in the South London Business Awards 2008. Syscap was one of four finalists going head-to-head for the acclaimed award, presented at Crystal Palace Football Club on Monday 19 May. The Company of the Year award recognises the best business in South London with over 25 employees and is sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland.
Paddy Collins from The Royal Bank of Scotland, a member of the judging panel, says: "The business is going from strength to strength and the Syscap CEO was able to demonstrate real passion around customer service. In terms of corporate social responsibility staff were fully engaged and there was a clearly understood strategy for the business going forward. Overall a fabulous business and worthy winners." Philip White, CEO of Syscap, says: "Winning the Company of the Year award is true testament to Syscap’s success over the last few years, and recognition of just how far we’ve come. Our achievements are a product of greater efficiency, a long-term commitment to staff development, stronger relationships with business partners and a widening of the net beyond the UK market. I’m delighted Syscap has won this award - and we celebrated in style at the ceremony."
Each entrant was assessed on business performance and management, business strategy and implementation, its processes for researching and developing new products and services, customer care, marketing, employee communication and their involvement in business decisions, and its contribution to the community, including steps to protect the environment. Each year the Awards attract the South London business elite, keen to benchmark their companies against the best and win the prestigious trophy.
